The whole operation of “CRYOGONIA” is governed by the principles reflected in the Quality Management System. The Quality System is based on the requirements and specifications defined by the ΕΝ 15224:2016 standard, as well as the legislative requirements that determine the operational framework of the Sperm Cryopreservation Bank at all levels.
The Quality System has been structured with a central focus on those recognized by the Company as its “customers”. Therefore, the system has been designed to cover both their requirements & expectations as well as the legislative requirements governing the operation of the Company. The main objectives of the Quality System are:
- The organization of the services provided in such a way to ensure the greatest possible reliability of the results, as well as creating a sense of security and confidence in the “Customers” in the whole range of services provided by Cryogonia
- The coordination and monitoring of all the supporting actions of the operation of Cryogonia, in order to maintain a high & reliable level of services
- The continuous training and guidance of the staff, so that they are able to face the demands of their work in accordance with the principles and specifications set by the General Directorate and the Quality System
- The continuous improvement of the services provided and the overall operation of the Quality System through the regular monitoring of its effectiveness and suitability
The achievement of the above is determined through the basic processes of the Quality System, which determine actions such as :
- The systematic monitoring of the effectiveness of the system, through the quality councils, in the context of which, among others, quality objectives are established and reviewed
- The clear identification of “customer” requirements
- Continuous monitoring of suppliers performance
- The continuous training and education of the staff
- The documented and continuous monitoring and measurement of the degree of satisfaction of identified “customers”
- The management of business knowledge
- Ensuring the necessary resources (human, material and non-material) for the efficient operation of the Laboratory
- The documented search for causes of problems and weaknesses, in order to define and implement the necessary corrective and / or preventive actions, in order to avoid the recurrence of problems
- The implementation of the clinical risk management process including clinical risk management
- Respect for the particularities of donors and examinees
- Adherence to moral values, ethics and quality characteristics and requirements in health care services and the safety of all national and international patients and other customers and parties concerned
The overall application of the principles of the system is ensured through the continuous information and training of the staff at all levels, with the main purpose of creating the relative awareness of the purposes and the philosophy of the system.
For this purpose, a Quality Team has been formed consisting of the company’s Managing Director, Mrs. Lina Evgeni, with the active participation of the laboratory executives – Biologists.
