An informative event titled “Understanding Reproductive Biology: The man’s journey towards creating a new life” was held with great success on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026. The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the 1st Junior High School of Neo Psychiko, the Parents and Guardians Association, and the distinguished Professor of Urology, Dr. Vassilis Protogerou.

During the event, Dr. Lina Evgeni and Professor Dr. Vassilis Protogerou presented the fundamental principles of male fertility and reproductive biology to students in the 8th and 9th grades (2nd and 3rd year of Junior High School). The presentation was conducted in a simple, scientifically sound, and age-appropriate manner.

The event offered both students and parents the opportunity to ask questions and receive vital information regarding important issues affecting male health, prevention, and fertility preservation. A brief live demonstration of the proper handling of a liquid nitrogen tank by Reproductive Biologist Mr. Themistoklis Loumakos sparked particular interest, highlighting the significance of cryopreservation in reproductive medicine.

Educating young people on reproductive health topics is an essential step towards cultivating a responsible attitude toward prevention and healthcare. Bridging the gap between specialists and the school community contributes significantly to enhancing knowledge and raising awareness around issues that impact future quality of life.
