Dr. Lina A. Evgeni is a Reproductive Biologist, specialized in the analysis and cryopreservation of sperm and testicular tissue, with many years of experience in the evaluation and preservation of male fertility.
She graduated from the Department of Biology of the School of Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in which she was admitted first among the candidates of her year. She then studied by scholarship at the Medical School of the University of Nottingham in Great Britain, from which she obtained a Master’s degree (M.Phil), under the supervision of Prof. Simon Fishel, pioneer of in vitro fertilization and inventor of the SUZI (Sub zonal Insemination) method. During her postgraduate studies, she was trained in the andrology laboratory of England’s leading hospital Queen’s Medical Center, in the techniques of basic and functional semen parameters evaluation, as well as in the applications of sperm and testicular tissue cryopreservation.
She is a PhD holder from the Department of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace and a research associate of the Postgraduate Studies Course entitled ‘Human Reproduction’, in which she participates since its commencement, with lectures and practical laboratory training workshops.
